This week's theme is shapes.
I am currently reading "The Blind Assassin" by Margaret Atwood. These shapely quotes are taken from that book:
"Her hat tumbles off, her arms are around is neck, her head and body arched backwards as if someone's pulling down on her hair."
Then in the next paragraph, "The air smells of dry rot, but also of soap: there's a tiny triangular sink in one corner, a foxed mirror hanging above it; crammed underneath it, the square-edged black box of his typewriter."
(⌒▽⌒) Oh, it's a wonderful day in the neighborhood ...
nice lines for the TT. I saw this book on another blog and wanted to read it, hope you choose to review it. happy reading.

ReplyDeleteThey certainly have you producing vivid images :)
ReplyDeleteGreat one for Theme Thursday!
ReplyDeleteI read that book some time ago. Not sure what's with all these books portraying women as sitting ducks who can only react passively to their surroundings and all men are perverted scums out to corrupt ducks.
