NaBloPoMo Post 1

Parts of me show up in my writing that I keep and share on Wordpress Blogs.  And part of me shows up in the blog I have for the Kwee Cats.  But I’ve gotten so caught up in keeping up, that where I started, here, with my Kwee Life has become rather anemic.  And I think, along with a mix of other things, I’m feeling it.  I saw the NaBloPoMo over on Jessica Prescott's JP's Poetry site.  It seemed like a good and interesting idea.

Today’s Prompt:  What is your favourite book?

My_Father_Can_Fix_AnythingI have been an avid reader my entire life.  Even before I could read, Daddy would read to me.  Books have always been something more akin to a friend to me than just a matter of print.  I can go anywhere I want to, and do anything I wish, in a book.  When I began to nurture my own wish to write, I found I was only limited by the words I chose to use.

I was a Daddy’s girl.  I have not been “entirely right” ever since he died, even though its been over 20 years.  There is a book that emotions often keep me from opening, titled “My Father Can Fix Anything,” 1965, by Mabel Watts. We, however, called it, “My Daddy Can Fix Anything.”  He could.  That book, even more now than when I was a child and he would read it to me, is my favorite book.
